Pocket Vision offers the most complete portable view of the primary care record available today.

Vision is the UK’s leading clinical system for the Windows environment. Since 1996 GP practices have enjoyed facilities that promote improvements in patient care and practice efficiency. Vision 3.0 includes new features and enhancements such as XML messaging that will enable new electronic information flows between healthcare agencies. Pocket Vision will provide a portable view of this shared patient record utilising state of the art hand held devices.

The complete* patient data set, READ and Drug Dictionaries are downloaded from the practice Vision 3.0 system on to a Windows compatible PDA (personal digital assistant). All Vision data is available for review with Pocket Vision, you can also add READ coded Medical History and Therapy entries that are uploaded to the practice system. *PILOT TESTING SHOWS THAT POCKET VISION CAN ACCOMMODATE 10,000 PATIENT RECORDS IN 64MB.

Operating Environment:

• At least Windows NT4 server, the Pocket Vision data set is produced as a scheduled, overnight event. The practice file server must have sufficient free hard disc space to accommodate the Pocket Vision data set.
• Host Workstation Operating System: At least NT workstation
• PDA Operating System: PPC 2002
• PDA Memory: at least 64Mbyte
